Frequently asked Questions

How do I make an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by contacting me either by using the contact page on the website or by telephone or email.

Can I be made to do things against my will when hypnotized?
You are absolutely in control of your body & mind during hypnosis. Despite what you see with stage hypnosis, you will remain aware of what you are doing and what is being asked of you. If you don’t want to do something you are asked to do under hypnosis, you won’t do it.
Is hypnosis the same thing as sleep?
You may look like you are sleeping, but you are awake during hypnosis. You are just in a deeply relaxed state. Your muscles will become relaxed, your breathing rate will slow, and you may become drowsy.
Am I able to lie when hypnotized?
Hypnotism isn’t a truth serum. Although you are more open to suggestion during hypnosis, you still have free will and moral judgment. No one can make you say anything, lie or not, that you don’t want to say.
What should I expect during my session?
In your first session, I will normally ask you a series of questions to get an overall picture of your reason for coming for treatment. I will then explain about how the mind works and why you may have been experiencing certain issues and what we can do about them. You will then be introduced to your first hypnosis & relaxation treatment. All following sessions consist of focused conversation and hypnosis where you can either choose to sit in a comfortable chair or lay on the couch. After the session you should feel calm, refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of the day.
How long is a session & what is the cost?

My sessions generally last for between 60 & 90 minutes. The cost of a session is £60.00

Is one session enough?
Although one session can be helpful for some people, most therapists will tell you to begin hypnosis therapy with 2 to 5 sessions. After that, you can discuss the need for any further sessions or maintenance sessions for the future.
Do you have weekend and Evening appointments?
Evening and weekend appointments are available.
Are On-Line sessions available?
Yes, I can provide hypnotherapy treatment through computer mediated systems. I generally use Zoom or Skype.
